AUDIO REVIEW: Catch Me When I Fall

Sometimes trying to catch a star will light your whole world on fire....

Emily’s entire existence is wrapped up in touring with her up-and-coming country rock band Carolina George and trying to build them into a music legend. Her passionate night with a gorgeous, tattooed bad boy was the result of too much time on the road, too much tequila and combustible physical chemistry. It was never supposed to follow her into the light of day, much less threaten everything she and the band have worked so hard to create.

Royce’s night with the lead singer of Carolina George was the worst mistake of his life. He needs the band to sign on to his record label or his family will pay the price. But will his irresistible attraction to Emily destroy his carefully laid plans?

Royce’s past is littered with mistakes and heartache - will his love for Emily be just one more tragedy?

This is the first AL Jackson book I’ve read in years, and I’m so glad I picked it up. It was just the kind of book I needed. The kind that tugged on my heartstrings and had just the right amount of angsty drama. I love a good rock-star romance, and I especially love when the heroine is the musician.

Emily is the lead singer of her country rock band and they’re about to get their big break. Her life has been in shambles lately and she’s trying to move past it, but it’s hard. When Royce enters her life, she’s not sure what to think about him. The attraction is there between them full force, but there’s something else. A connection she never saw coming.

I was really into Royce’s chapters and finding out more about his past. Both of their stories broke my heart in different ways. I love when two broken characters come together and that’s exactly what happened here.

The audiobook was narrated by Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose and both did a phenomenal job. Jason is one of my favorite male narrators and he voiced Royce perfectly. There were no quality issues with the audiobook and I highly recommend listening to this one.

If you’re looking for a rock-star romance that’s angsty, emotional, and even a bit suspenseful, pick up Catch Me When I Fall!

AUDIO REVIEW: P.S. It's Always Been You Part 1 by Lauren Blakely

Ps. It’s Always Been You: Part 1 by Lauren Blakely

Narrated by Scott Eastwood and Andi Arndt, a sweeping, second chance romance that weaves mystery, passion, and humor as two present-day lovers search for a love story from the past....

Past loves should stay in the past.

After the way my first love took off for the ends of the earth, the last thing I want is to see him on billboards and bookstore bestseller shelves. Now my boss just handed me the project that could make my career. All I have to do is partner up with the man, the myth, the legend - adventurer Hunter Armstrong.

That's easier said than done, because when we reconnect, I learn Hunter has his own agenda on this project. And it's not to find a treasure in art and antiques. It's me. But what we discover shocks both of us, and we have no choice but to follow the clues....

Christy's Review:

P.S. It's Always Been You is the first installment in Lauren Blakley's new second chance romance and after finishing it, I can't wait to get to the next two installments.

In the past, Presley and Hunter were so in love with each other. But Hunter took off to do a secret, important job and left Presley behind, breaking up with her in the worst way. It's been years, but since he's a bit of a celebrity now, she can't escape seeing his face everywhere. If that's not bad enough, now she has to see him in person. And her job depends on it.

Andi Arndt always does an amazing job narrating, and this was no exception. Scott Eastwood also did a fantastic job narrating, what I believe is his debut audio book. I can't wait to listen to more from these two. I loved the chemistry between Presley and Hunter. As much as Presley tries to deny it, she's still got feelings for him, and it's obvious that Hunter sees Presley as the one who got away.

If you're looking for an intriguing, sweet, and sexy start to a second chance romance, pick this one up. It was a fun, easy read, and I'm excited to find out what happens next with Presley and Hunter.

Audio Review: Hollywood Playboy by Natasha Madison

   photo 6CBD0C76-DF7B-493D-BC6D-FA16CB955970_zpsbuhcxih2.png

Hollywood Playboy is my first book by Natasha Madison, but I’m looking forward to reading more! Especially from this series.

I got excited when I listened to the first few chapters of this book. I love me a good enemies to lovers story! Jessica is an entertainment journalist and Tyler is a Hollywood star. Jessica reports the story first, and Tyler always seems to block her. It’s safe to say they don’t get along at all…

When Tyler’s new movie tour is a 30 day press tour, Jessica doesn’t want to go, even though it’s an amazing opportunity. And Tyler sure doesn’t want her there. But they both get overruled and end up together. With hate and banter, there is always a spark. The two have such chemistry and when their hate starts turning into attraction and friendship, neither of them knows what to think.

I loved both of the main characters in this book. Tyler is very down to earth for being such a big star. I loved his relationship with his parents, how he had a good heart, and tried to see the best in people. Jessica was great, too. Her life wasn’t exactly how she wanted it to be but she made the best of it and did her best to be successful. She’s determined and strong.

Their relationship was fun, sweet, sexy, and had the best build up. I was anxious to see how things would turn out between them, and by the end I was all happy and swoony. Tyler is the best!

“I pick her. I choose her every second of every fucking day.”

I listened to the audio book of this story and it was narrated by one of my favorite duos, Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. They have so much chemistry and are both top notch narrators. They did a great job bringing Jessica and Tyler to life.

If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers story that is steamy, sweet, and highly entertaining, pick this one up!

AUDIO REVIEWS! Meghan Quinn & Sara Ney @InkSlingerPR

AUDIO REVIEW: Love, Sincerely, Yours by Meghan Quinn & Sara Ney

Dear Mister...**strike out** no, too formal.
Hey there sweet cheeks *strike out* no, too forward.

To whom it may concern,
Full disclosure; before we move forward with this email, I would like it to be known that I have consumed an adequate amount of alcoholic beverages to intoxicate myself tonight. Three margaritas, two shots, and one beer—because it was free.
I think it’s important to be open and honest with your co-workers, don’t you?
So here I am, being honest. Drunk but honest. Or just drunk with lust? You decide.
I like you so much it’s clouding my judgment and making me do things I never would sober. Like write this letter.
I have a hopeless, foolish, schoolgirl crush on you when you are the last person on earth I should be falling for. Did you know people around the office call you a sadist? An egomaniac. An insensitive, arrogant prick. Your bark is worse then your bite, and you don’t scare me. The fact is, I’d love that bite of yours to nip at my bare skin while we’re both wearing nothing but sheets.
For once I want you to look at me as more than one of your employees.
And as long as we're being honest, that navy blue suit you wear? With the crisp white shirt? It really makes me want to loosen your tie and show you who’s boss.
Love,
Sincerely,
Yours.

OMG this book was so freaking awesome! I usually love all the feels books best, but I swear, 2018 has been the year of rom-coms for me. Meghan Quinn and Sara Ney did a fantastic job co-writing this book. I’ve loved books from both of them individually, but they really shined together! I couldn’t get enough of Peyton, Rome, their emails and banter.

Peyton has it bad for her hot boss. Yes, her boss is hot, but he’s also known as the arrogant prick, the sadist of the office. Peyton doesn’t care. There is something about him that she likes. She sees something there. And in an anonymous email, she lets him know her feelings. Well, if feelings translates into ‘I want to bang you’ anyway.

When Rome gets this email, he doesn’t know what to think. Of course it’s highly inappropriate of course, and then, maybe it’s a prank? He can’t be sure. All he knows is he’s intrigued by this employee of his. Rome owns a successful business and to maintain that he’s spent so much time being all business. Whoever this woman is, she’s made him smile and laugh more than he has in years. So he keeps responding to this mystery woman, even though he knows he shouldn’t.

One of my favorite things about this book were the emails. I loved reading them, and with reading them, we got to see a whole different side of Rome. Peyton was a fantastic and fun heroine and I loved Rome, even if he was a bit brash at times. They were a great paring and I rooted for them to be together. Their back and forth was comical, witty, and the best part of the book.

I love office romances, enemies to lovers stories, and rom-coms. This was a fantastic mix of all 3. If you have a change to listen to the audiobook, PLEASE check it out! The narration was on point and it was so much fun to listen to!!!  I laughed out loud, I smiled non-stop, and swooned hardcore. I loved this book so much! I hope we get more from this writing duo because they knocked it out of the park with their first book together! Love, Sincerely, Yours is a must read!

AUDIO REVIEW: Three Blind Dates by Meghan Quinn

"Good Morning Malibu, it’s another beautiful day on the west coast! I'm Noely Clark, your host: and I'm in the market for love…”

When the publicity team of the new local restaurant, Going in Blind, began their search for a hot, local celebrity to promote the wildly popular eatery, they couldn’t have found a better person than me.

Outgoing? Check.
Single? Check.
Open to finding love? Check.

I signed up immediately.

A hopeless romantic with an exceedingly demanding schedule, I've found it impossible to find the man of my dreams — so Going in Blind seems too good to be true! That’s until they start setting me up on dates — three very different, very attractive, very distinct blind dates — and only one thing is for certain...

I’m in big trouble.

Good Morning Malibu,
I'm Noely Clark, and I have a choice to make.
The question is who will I choose; the suit, the rebel, or the jock.

CHRISTY'S REVIEW:

5 stars!!

   photo IMG_2586_zpsxxvecyx6.png

How fun was this book? Seriously, after finishing the audio book I just sighed in happiness. I spent the entire time I listened giggling, smiling, and falling in love with this story! I haven't read many Meghan Quinn books, but she is one funny lady. I can't wait to read the others in this series!

Noely Clark is a morning show host and she's looking for love. What's supposed to be an exclusive new dating set up where you get paired with blind dates that are your 'perfect match' is the route she takes. Noely ends up meeting three guys through Going in Blind. The suit, the rebel, and the jock. It was so hard to choose which guy I loved most. They were all three wonderful in their own ways. I will say, by the end, I was pulling for one specifically and I'm happy to report he got the girl ;)

Noely was a hoot. She was entertaining as can be. I also loved her bff and her brother/sister in law. They were a wonderful entourage of characters. And the guys... the chemistry she had with the suit and the rebel. Sigh. And the jock was just so freaking sweet. I loved them all.

Listening to this on audio was so much fun. I definitely recommend listening vs reading this one. Ava Erikson and Aiden Snow do a fantastic job voicing these characters. They really brought the story to life with their narration. If you're on the lookout for a new listen, I can't recommend this one enough!

There are a lot of laughs in this book but it also has so much heart. I felt for Noely and all three of the guys in different ways. I see that the other two have their own books and this excites me so much! I'll definitely be picking up those audio books as well!

“I wanted it to be you. I wanted it to be you so badly.”
