Synopsis
India Harris didn’t have the best start in life. Abandoned as a baby, she and her twin brother, Kit, spent their lives in foster care, only having each other to rely on. Then, at a young age, a relationship with the wrong man left India pregnant. Wanting to give her son the life she never had, she put herself through school and graduated with honors.
Now, at the age of thirty, she’s a highly respected therapist.
At the top of his game as a Formula One driver, Leandro Silva had everything—until an accident on the track left him staring death in the face. After enduring twelve months of physical therapy, Leandro is now physically able to race, but his mind is keeping him from the track. Frustrated and angry, Leandro’s days and nights are filled with limitless alcohol and faceless women.
Entering the last year of his contract, he knows he has to race again, or he’ll lose everything he spent his life working for. Forced into therapy to get his life back, Leandro finds himself in the office of Dr. India Harris.
Falling for his uptight therapist is not part of Leandro’s plan.
Having unethical feelings for her patient, the angry Brazilian race car driver, is not part of India’s plan.
But what if the wrong person is the only person who is right?

Christy's Review:
Revived is book 2 in the Revved series, but can be read as a standalone. In Revved, we meet Brazilian Formula One driver, Leandro Silva. Leandro is slick, he’s talented, and he’s on the top of his game. Until one terrible accident changes everything for him. He’s healing physically, but his mind isn’t in the right place. He’s having trouble coping with his near death experience. He’s having trouble coping with the fact that he’s not a racer anymore, and he can’t be again. Not until he gets himself together.
Here enters India Harris. Thirty year old therapist and single mom. Dr. India Harris is just who Leandro needs to get through his issues. She has a way of talking with him and working with him that gets him to make big changes and face his feelings and what he’s going through. One big problem. Leandro starts to fall for India. India has feelings for him as well, which is not only unethical for her, but could also cost her the license she worked so hard for and her career.
India and Leandro are in a hard place. Taking a chance on love could have huge repercussions. But is it worth it? Is giving love a chance worth giving up everything else?
“Usually, the things we love the most are the things that terrify us.”
Leandro was a fun character to read about. I liked him in the first book, but this book he truly won me over. Seeing all the changes he made, the growth that he was able to show was wonderful. India was also a fantastic character. I understood her struggle, the way she had to put her job/career first. It wasn’t just about India. India has a son that factors in so I never faulted her for the times she pushed Leandro away. There was minimal angst in this one (compared to the first LOL) and some drama, but not over the top.
Revived is a great addition to this series. I love the way Samantha Towle tells a story. The way that humor, love, friendship and steam are all mixed together perfectly. A highly entertaining, quick read that left me smiling!
Excerpt – India
“Look, I’m sorry.” I reach out and touch his arm. The instant I do, I know it’s a mistake because the connection I always feel around him increases tenfold.
All the air is sucked out of the car, leaving me breathless. I can feel the heat of his body through the shirt beneath my palm, setting my skin ablaze.
I can’t take my eyes off of him. He’s so beautiful.
His hand comes to mine. His index finger lightly traces up my skin until it reaches my wrist. His fingers circle it until his hand is holding me.
His eyes move down to my mouth. I see them flare to life.
“India…” he says my name on a breath.
I almost come undone.
Almost.
Coming to my senses, remembering who I am, who we are and where we are, I pull away from him and turn to face the window.
I hear him exhale loudly. He sounds frustrated.
I close my eyes on the sound, and my hand wraps around the one that now feels like it has a permanent imprint of him on it.
