5 Sy is so swoon worthy stars!
I've read a bunch of MC books. Some have been phenomenal while others just fell flat. I can say with 100% certainty that River Savage is an author to watch. I really loved Incandescent but Affliction blew my mind! I fell for Sy HARD! I don't know what it is about broken men, but they speak to me and Sy was one that was broken.
It's hard to review this book without giving away major spoilers and I hope people are considerate of other readers when they review. This book needs to be felt, and to do that you need to go in blind.
The parts of the book written in Sy's past were heart breaking. I just wanted to reach in give him a hug. There were several scenes where all I could do was cry for him. For him to endure what he did and still manage to come out a good man shows how good his character is.
I know this review is vague, but I hope you give this author a chance and read her books. Her writing is fantastic, and her characters are easy to fall for!
