I had my whole life mapped out. Perfect guy. Perfect friends. Everything was exactly the way I wanted it.
That was until that night--the one I can’t remember. It’s all my fault, and now the memories are all I have left of him. Of us.
My guilt drowns me until Sam Shea steps back into my life and helps me to the surface. He slowly opens my heart and crawls deep inside before I even realize what’s happening. I know I don’t deserve him.
While I’m trying to get used to my new life, pieces of that night slowly start to come back to me. Lies and secrets shatter everything I thought I knew.
Maybe I’m not the only one living with regret.
Review:
4.5 emotional stars!
The one thing I love most about reading a Lisa De Jong book is that I am guaranteed to get emotional. She knows how to bring out the tears in me. And guess what? I LOVE IT! I love getting invested in characters and feeling what they feel. Lisa has an ability to capture that emotion unlike any other I've read.
Now, how do I review this book without giving away the story? GAH! There is so much mystery to this story, Rachel wakes up without any reconciliation as to where she is or how she got there. 24 hours of her life is missing. I can't imagine what that would feel like; waking up in a hospital and not knowing how you got there.
Once the details started un-folding from the night of the accident Rachel can't let go of the guilt. Will she ever be able to let go and move on in her life? Well, somebody from her past comes along and helps her to feel again.
Living With Regret is a story that will keep you on your toes trying to figure out what has happened and what will happen. It is packed with emotions and heart-break, and those moments that make you sigh with adoration with her characters. Pick this one up, you won't regret it!
