Oh Emma Scott… what have you done to my heart? This duet broke me. But it also put me back together and healed me. By far one of my favorite books by Emma and the best duet of the year. This book was the epic conclusion to the Beautiful Hearts duet. This review won’t be too long because I don’t want to put any detail in it. You need to go in blind. Go in and enjoy the ride. Feel the emotions and be surprised.

I’m not going to lie. I was more than a little nervous to read this book. With how the first book ended, I didn’t know what direction that this story was going to go. The direction surprised me some, but in the very best way. Autumn is such an amazing character. I loved her even more in this book than the last. I love her strength, her dedication and her loyalty. She’s not perfect, but she’s real. I admire her for how she dealt with everything that happened in this book. 

   

“Stay with him. And keep holding his hand, Autumn. No matter what happens. Don’t let go of him.”

Emma inspires me. Her words, her characters, and her strength as a human being. Her light shines through her stories. And they shine so so bright. This book moved me. It made me feel, made me dig deep and I couldn’t have loved it more. It was the perfect ending to Autumn’s journey. These books are must read and going to the top of my 2018 favorites list. The Wrong Game is a adorable and fun read that was emotional enough to give me all the feels! I loved Gemma and Zach! Kandi’s writing is fantastic as always and I loved the original spin she put on this sports romance.

Gemma is someone who lives for lists and rules and plans. She has suffered a loss and with that loss she was burned in the worst way. Ever since then she’s decided to stick to her plans, to stick to the one rule she’s given herself.
   

I made one simple plan, with one simple rule. Never fall in love again. It was more than just a plan, more than just a goal. It was a promise. And it was one I vowed to keep.

Gemma is a huge fan of the Chicago Bears and has season tickets. To make things interesting, Gemma’s friend talks her in to talking a ‘date’ to each game. A different guy to each one, just for fun, to see how it goes. No feelings involved, just a good time. Then she meets Zach. Zach volunteers to be her ‘practice guy’ for the first game.

Zach was the absolute best. He saw something in Gemma. He knows she has reservations about love, but he’s determined to break through her barriers. If anyone could do it, it would be him. He just doesn’t realize what he’s up against.

Zach was super swoony and Gemma was strong yet vulnerable. I loved them together. Their chemistry was off the charts hot. And it wasn’t just that. I loved their back and forth banner and their connection. Plus, Gemma’s bestie Belle was hilarious as well as Micah, Zach’s brother. He was a hoot. 



This story made me laugh out loud, was sweet, sexy, emotional, and a tad bit angsty. Overall it was a great read and the PERFECT book for fall! Highly recommended to lovers of sports romance!
