A hopeless romantic.
A disheartened cynic.

An unforgettable kiss.

Caleb Anderson believes in fairy tales. At least, he wants to.
Despite battling cancer, defeating death, and an overprotective family; he believes in promises of forever, enchanted encounters, and love at first sight. He knows his perfect girl is out there …
If only he could find her.

Zadie Fisher doesn’t believe in love. At least, she doesn’t want to.
Despite undeniable attraction, second chances, and resurrected hope; she doesn’t believe in soulmates, true love, or happily ever after. Not anymore. She knows falling in love is a mistake …
If only she could avoid it.

But fate has a funny way of twisting things, and some mistakes are destined to be made.

Most fairy tales start with Once Upon A Time ...
This one starts with a kiss.

Christy's Review:

description

Kim Bailey has written a sweet, emotional, and steamy story with a hero who is truly a gem of a guy with a heart of gold! I’ve been wanting Caleb’s story from the moment I met him in Bailey’s debut novel. Caleb is a lovable and fun guy and I just knew when he grew up he would be an amazing man. I was right- he was just as fantastic as I imagined he would be!

Caleb Anderson is a romantic at heart. He’s having trouble with his path in life right now, but one thing he knows he wants is love. He wants the woman of his dreams, the fairytale. When he meets Zadie Fisher, he knows he’s found her. Zadie is going through something big though. Something that has her pushing Caleb away, even though all she wants to do is pull him close. Caleb is the type of guy that wears you down. He’s too good, too lovable, too everything.

I’d love nothing more than to sweep her off her feet.

Caleb and Zadie started out with a friendship but the attraction between them grew and grew. The more Caleb pursued Zadie, the more she realized that Caleb truly cared for her and would help her with what she was going through. He wants nothing more than to be there for her. Caleb was one of those characters that seems too good to be true. I wish Zadie wouldn't have spent so much time pushing him away, but because of her circumstances I understood why she did.

Although this could be read as a stand-alone, if you’ve read all of Kim’s works, there are some tie ins with her other stories. Personally, there was one aspect of this I didn’t love, but I did enjoy catching up with some of the characters I grew to love in the first book!

As always, Bailey’s writing is strong and her stories have depth. I loved that this book made me feel and made me believe in fairytales. Real love and real prince charmings do exist out there and Caleb Anderson is one of them! Fairytale Kisses was a great read with one of the best heroes I’ve read this year! I highly recommend!

Stop! by Alison G. Bailey blog tour

Synopsis
Every life has a different path full of sharp turns, smooth curves, and steep drop offs.

Hollis Murphy has a plan—college, career, boyfriend, love, marriage, family. A predictable, normal life. She’s on track until an outside force causes her to crash and burn. They call it an accident, because that’s the only word they know to explain what happens to her. It helps everyone move on with their lives, except for Hollis. She holds on to the belief that she’s been targeted for a reason.

Risher Stevenson is intelligent, caring, sweet, and the hottest boy Hollis has ever laid eyes on. He fits perfectly into her original plan for a normal life. Everyone loves him.

Benton Daniels is intelligent, caring, sweet, and the bravest boy Hollis has ever met. He doesn’t fit into her life but gives it purpose and makes it extraordinary. Everyone hates him.

One is bullied. One is tormented. All are judged. How will it STOP?

Christy's Review

4.5 stars!

“Things aren’t always black and white… There’s a lot of grey in the world.”

This is one of those books that was hard to read and is going to be even harder to review. Stop! is  a story about three college freshman. Hollis, Risher, and Benton. These three characters were so different but I adored all three of them equally (and no- there is no love triangle). I admired the strength they had.

photo 90448eae-8529-435d-8323-15d6315a37f1_zpsvaugjkub.jpgHollis is a girl who is hiding who she is behind a mask of makeup. She has seen how people look at her and treat her without it so now it’s her mask and she’s comfortable that way. She just wants to be normal and have a normal life.

When she meets Risher, the sweet and popular college guy, Hollis can’t believe that he’s giving her of all people attention. Risher could have any girl he wanted, but he chooses Hollis. He sees the beauty on the inside and the outside of her. Then there is Benton. A kid who’s lost in the world but finds friendship and acceptance with Hollis. I feel like I can’t say more about these characters or their stories. You need to read it for yourself and find out more.

photo e10cfc6c-b406-4be6-a4f4-4195ac56cf58_zpsmtgglyls.jpgI love Bailey’s writing style and storytelling abilities. I especially love that she is willing to tackle not so easy to write about topics. This book wasn’t as angsty as her Perfect series, but it had my emotions all over the place. I think I cried non-stop the entire last 10% of the book. I felt gutted by the events that took place. Thank goodness for the beauty of the epilogue. Things turned out just the way they were supposed to after all the tragedy and heartache. Stop! is definitely a book I would recommend- but only if you can handle some strong emotions and subject matter that’s not easy to read about.
