The debutante path is a fairly straight track: who you are, who you associate with, and whose label you are wearing become priorities. They define you. They are the aspects by which you are judged.
Ashlyn’s world has been one of enlightenment and finesse, and now she is ready to take on the financial world at her father’s company just as he had always planned. Her future had been scripted long ago, but a chance meeting with a beautiful boy on a bicycle gives Ashlyn a new outlook on life.
Ethan is far too young, far too tattooed, far too pierced—just far too everything—to ever fit into her world. He has issues, too—major ones. Ashlyn knows he will never be accepted by her friends, let alone her overbearing father, but there is something about his live-in-the-moment outlook that keeps drawing her back into his arms.
Ashlyn must make a choice. Can she forgo the family dynasty and live life to the fullest with this fascinating but damaged young man?
Shay Savage is one of those authors that can write in many different genres. Judging Books falls into the cont. romance/NA category (and it’s a stand-alone- YAY) and I adored it! Ethan was one of the sweetest and best heroes I’ve read about in quite some time!
Ashlyn Draganov is getting ready to graduate with her masters in accounting. Her job, and her life for that matter, are pretty much planned. She will work at, and eventually run the family business, Draganov Financials. What is not in her plan is a guy like Ethan. Ashlyn is 26, and Ethan is only 19. When she meets him, his age throws her for a loop, as does his tattoos and piercings, but there is something special about Ethan and she is instantly attracted to him.
He was sweet, adorable, intelligent and absolutely the most incredibly gorgeous individual I had ever seen in my life.
Ethan Ramsey is the greatest. He’s just one of those guys you can’t help but to adore. I loved every single thing about him. His life is far from what I expected it to be when I first met him. Ethan isn’t the normal tattooed, bad boy book boyfriend. He’s totally different and I LOVED that about him! He’s a unique character and I think it’s great not to read the same old same old.
Ethan and Ashlyn had great chemistry and you could feel how much Ethan truly cared about her from the start. His honesty and sweetness was so refreshing! There were things about Ashlyn that irked me for a good part of the book, but she came around completely and by the end, I loved her as well! She and Ethan were truly a great pair!
The title- Judging Books, sums up this story so well. We are all so quick to judge based on appearance, but some people, like Ethan, are so much more than what meets the eye! If you’re looking for an original, heartfelt, steamy, and fun read- pick up this book! I enjoyed it so much!!!
