Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren - Blog Tour

Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren

Blurb:
One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away.

Meet the Authors

Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.

~Bella:   I love it when Ansel says, "I just want to fall asleep inside you. Maybe our bodies will make love again while our brains sleep." Sounds good, Ansel.  Please, fall asleep inside me. Sigh.

~Chris: "What you feel, Cerise? I feel it too. Fuck, Mia. I feel everything for you."

~Reanell: "Life is built of these little horrible moments and the giant expanses of awesome in between."
Favorite character
~Bella:  Ansel.  I freaking LOVE Ansel so much.  He was pretty perfect.  And French.  And hot.  And sexy.  LOVED ANSEL!!!  But this book has a great group of secondary characters.  I want to dive in the story and become friends with them.

~Chris: This was one of those books where I actually loved almost every character- but it's gotta be ANSEL!

~Reanell: Ansel. Hands down Ansel. Loved every single thing about him.

Favorite sex/sexy scene
~Bella:  How to pick..... at the hotel before they left for Paris.  No, changed my mind, the maid! No, wait, the devil!  Ok, final answer: the strangers!!!  I loved the chemistry between Ansel and Mia - it was ... frantic.  All the sexy scenes were scorching hot. Definitely re-read material!

~Chris: Hard to choose- SFB was full of sexy scenes! I really enjoyed the student/professor roleplay. Loved how committed Ansel was to his role lol!

~Reanell: The maid scene. When he came home and had no idea what she was doing but went with it anyways...yep totally HOT!

Character you love to hate
~Bella: Perry. Definitely.  Perry makes me want to get violent. And the dad.

~Chris: Perry was all kinds of terrible.

~Reanell: PERRY!!!!

Favorite part of the book
~Bella: I don't want to spoil anything, but the studio was definitely my favorite part.  Loved the end of this story.

~Chris: I agree with Bella- the studio part made me melt! The best!!!

~Reanell: I loved everything about this book, so I can't choose my favorite part because so many scenes stuck out to me.

Reviews
~Bella: 5 Sweet Stars!!!!!

I completely DEVOURED this book!!!!

Love Mia - she's pretty funny.

Love, love, LOVE Ansel - he's pretty perfect.

I love the supporting characters - Ollie, Fin, Harlow, Lola - I want to jump into this book and make these people my friends.

Mia was a ballet dancer...until she was in a terrible accident and broke her leg. Since then, she's been stumbling on a plan for her future. Her domineering father is pushing her to go into business, something that holds absolutely no appeal to her.

After graduating from college, Mia and her friends, Lola and Harlow, take a trip to Vegas to celebrate.

This is where she meets Ansel. He's beautiful - 6'2", green eyes, dimples and he's French. Ooo la la!! They have an instant connection. And combustible chemistry.

Wow, the sex is off the charts. It's frantic. It's hot. Did I mention Ansel speaks French? This book will melt you panties right off of your body.

It's also sweet.
"I just want to fall asleep inside you. Maybe our bodies will make love again while our brains sleep."
Sigh.

But there's more to it than just sex. There's soul searching. I loved watching Mia's character grow throughout the book. And her friends are pretty amazing.

"Life is built of these little horrible moments and the giant expanses of awesome in between."

Even though everything about how Mia and Ansel started their relationship was totally backwards, I was rooting for them throughout the book.

I don't want to spoil anything by saying more.

This one is going on my re-read list.

Please read this book - it's so awesome!!!

Can't wait for the next one!

~Chris: 4.5 Stars!!!

Sweet Filthy Boy was one of those books that sucked me in from the very beginning. Sweet, sexy and hilarious, it was a real winner in my book! I love books that make me laugh, have heroines I actually like, and boys that make me swoon. This book had all three of those elements.

Mia Holland is a recent college graduate. She has one weekend. One weekend to let loose, be free before the responsibilities her father has placed on her go in to effect. She’s expected to go to business school in Boston. She’s not sure thats what she wants, but she doesn’t know what else she would do. While on vacation, she does something thats not normal for her. She goes outside of her comfort zone. She takes a chance.

Meeting Ansel Guillaume, an attorney from France, will change everything. Mia is quiet, a little shy and not forthcoming. With Ansel, everything is different. She can talk, be herself, even her friends are shocked. Ansel just has this way about him. He makes her feel special.

He makes me feel like I’m the only person on the planet. He looks at me like he’s one second away from devouring me.

Ansel and Mia’s one night together is wild and spontaneous. And after a lot of contemplation, it leads Mia into taking the plunge. For once, she will do what she wants, not whats expected of her. She is going to spend the summer in Paris with Ansel. At first, it’s not what she expected. Ansel is working a lot and she is doing a lot of sightseeing. Things between them is something they’ve never been before. A little awkward. As a little time passes, Mia and Ansel find a way to move past that awkward stage and slowly fall into the summer of ‘like’.

I loved Mia and Ansel together. Loved them! Mia was fantastic. By the end of the story, I was so proud of her and the strength she developed. And her friends. OMG. I loved them both and I’m so happy we will be getting more books from this group. The Whore Jar- cracks me up! Then there was Ansel. ADORED that boy! He was so charming, sweet and swoony. I want to listen to him speak some french! I loved both characters individually, but most of all- I loved them together. And the things they brought out in one another.

“I’m lost in you.”

“Me too.”

“Yes. I just want to fall asleep inside you. Maybe our bodies will make love again when our brains sleep.”

Ansel and Mia’s chemistry was off the charts. This might sound like an odd thing to say, but some of the more fun and creative sex scenes were my favorite part of the story! They were sexy, sure, but they also made me smile. If you are looking for a book that will make you laugh, make you grin,  make you feel good and has that sweet and sexy romance vibe with some fabulously lovable characters, check this one out!

5 Ansel is my new BBF stars!

I devoured this story. From page 1 I was hooked, and didn't want to stop until I was finished. This story captivated me, I laughed, I cried, my heart broke, and then all was well with the world. I love reading a book that evokes every single emotion that I can feel.

Ansel has moved up in my top 3 list of favorite male characters EVER! Seriously this guy is amazing. From the first time Mia made eye contact with him across the bar I knew I would love his character. And Mia, she is amazing too, having to deal with a dickhead of a father and trying to decide her future.

This story was beautifully written and I can't wait to read more in this series! Christina Lauren have a great start with Sweet Filthy Boy and I'm ready to scream to the world "BUY THIS BOOK!!!"
