My Love At Last by Jaclyn Marulanda
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
3.5 Sweet Stars!
Growing up, Timmy and Danielle were close. They were neighbors, best friends. Then, high school happened. Danni was popular, Timmy got labeled as the school geek. Although they grew apart, Timmy always held a special place in Danni’s heart. Timmy’s parent’s got divorced in high school, and he moved away.
After several years away at college, Danielle comes home. She gets a job at her old school as a guidance counselor and is ready to start her life. Danni runs into Timmy, or TJ as he likes to be called now. TJ has changed. A lot. TJ is successful, sexy, and really grew into himself. He is more confident than he used to be. He knows what he wants. What he’s always wanted. Danni.
Danni and TJ are adorable together. This story has very little angst and some steam. A sweet, sexy, light, and charming second chance romance story. It was a nice debut novel, friends to lovers story. My biggest issue was the predictability of the story line. If you are looking for a light, heartwarming, easy breezy book, give this one a go- it may be right up your alley!
