In Flight
By Rachael Orman

Synopsis

All it took was for the right, older man to sit next to me. That flight changed my life. What started out as boring, small talk swiftly changed to flirting. Things got out of hand for a while, but he made sure to leave me with memories I'll never forget.

Then he took me home to meet his twin brother and introduce me to what it's like to have the full attention of two men at the same time.

Excerpt
Shifting in his seat, he turned toward me so our knees bumped in the small space. He unbuttoned his jacket and shrugged it off, revealing a crisp white dress shirt and multi-hued tie before draping it over his lap.
“How about…what do you do when you aren’t at work? For fun, that is.” I moved so I was turned toward him as I asked the first question I could think of.
His lips pressed together, making it appear he was fighting to hide a smile. “I like to tie up and spank young women.”
If I hadn’t seen the sparkle in his eye, I would’ve thought he was completely serious from his tone of voice. Not to mention, the smile he was fighting to hide.
“Well, sir, that’s awfully forward to share.” I returned the smile. Little did he know that I actually enjoyed such things.
“You asked. I simply answered. What do you like to do outside of work? I shared something personal, so you have to, too.” His sparkling brown eyes met mine in an unspoken challenge. Things had swiftly moved from friendly to flirting, and I was okay with that. Not that I normally found older men attractive, but I liked how bold he was. Somehow, he managed to find the balance between being extremely forward without crossing over into creepy.

“Now, now… That wouldn’t be fair,” an unexpected voice said from the other side of the room. My legs dropped from around Ben’s waist as my eyes searched for the source of the voice. Standing with one shoulder leaning against the wall of windows was a near replica of Ben, only in jeans and a t-shirt instead of the button-up shirt and slacks that Ben wore.
“Ah, horrible timing as usual. Summer, meet Bryce, my twin. I told you I had a surprise for you. Although, now I’m wondering if I should’ve saved you all for myself.” Ben nipped at my bottom lip before stepping back. “After our little adventure on the plane, I knew you would be just the right woman to share with my brother. See, it takes a special woman to keep the interest of two men. A woman who can handle having the full attention of two men, four hands, two tongues, and two needy cocks. Do you think you can handle it?”

Bella's Review: 4 Stars

Holy. Hotness.

That's what this book was. I listened to the audio version and it's 1 hour and 6 minutes long, so it's a quickie.

Summer sits next to Ben on a flight, one thing leads to another and she goes home with him.

Aaaaand discovers that he has a twin brother who joins them!!! I mean, what girl hasn't fantasized about this???

It's short, it's sexy and it's fun.

The narrator did a great job pulling off the sexy scenes.

Bottom line: entertaining listen!!

How can someone so smokin’ hot be so bad in bed? I mean, Sean Cassidy is absolute rubbish. RUBBISH. He is the epitome of walking, talking false advertising and I want a refund! Plus he’s an arsehole. So… what is wrong with me that I can’t stop thinking about him?

The Pixie and the Player is a full-length, romantic comedy novel, can be read as a standalone, and is the second book in the Rugby Series.

THE PIXIE
Lucy Fitzpatrick doesn’t like rugby.

As the little sister of Ireland’s most infamous rugby player, Lucy can’t seem to escape the championship-sized shadow cast by her big brother, or her mother’s frequent attempts to micromanage her future. Her rainbow hair is as free-spirited as her quest for inner peace, yet overbearing expectations keep bringing her down. And when she’s down, her compulsive little problem lands her in seriously big trouble.

THE PLAYER
Sean Cassidy is a cold-hearted brute… or so he’s been told. Frequently. By everyone.

His blonde locks, baby blues, and rock hard bod make ladies the world over drool with desire. As the rugby world’s second most infamous player, he should be basking in his success. But Sean has never been content settling for second place, and his frequent confrontations with Lucy’s big brother leave him cold. And when he’s cold, his compulsive little problem lands him in the lap of Lucy Fitzpatrick.

THE PLAN
Sean has a problem only Lucy can solve. Lucy has a problem only Sean can fix. The solution seems obvious: you scratch my back, and I’ll bail you out of jail. But when their business arrangement unexpectedly leaves Sean scorching hot and Lucy on the precipice of inner peace, can they convince the world—and Lucy’s big brother in particular—that this is the real deal?

Either way, both the Player and the Pixie are about to teach each other some pretty monumental lessons about family, life, but most importantly, love.

CHRISTY'S 5+ STAR REVIEW:

Once again, Penny Reid and L.H. Cosway co-wrote a book and they KILLED IT! I thought The Hooker and the Hermit was a great book, I really did- but this book? This book was PERFECT for me. When I started it the other night, I had every intention of reading a few chapters then going to bed and finishing it the next night. It was a work night, so I knew I shouldn’t stay up too late. Once I started reading, that flew out the window because I couldn’t put it down! It brings me so much joy reading a book from cover to cover and enjoying every second of it!

Lucy Fitzpatrick is Ronan’s sister. She’s living in NYC and working with Annie on her blog. Lucy is a pretty amazing character, but she has a few issues that stem from the anxiety her mother brings her. She doesn’t cope in the healthiest of ways, but out of her mother's grasp, she seems to do fine. Lucy is a free spirit. She is one of those amazingly positive people that always tries to find the best in people. Then she meets Sean Cassidy. And he makes it hard.

When I first saw that Sean was the hero of this story, I was apprehensive about him. I mean, he was a grade A jerk in the last book. Sean really isn’t a bad guy- he’s just… misunderstood. He doesn’t have a great family life, he speaks his mind sometimes without thinking and he’s a bit thoughtless and inconsiderate at times. BUT even with all that, I loved the guy! Sean is a famous rugby player and nemesis of Ronan. Therefore, someone Lucy should never get involved with. For some reason, Sean is drawn to Lucy and her rainbow hair and positive disposition. He knows she is not a girl he should have any feelings for, but he’s cold, he’s lonely, and she makes him feel better about himself.

I already wanted Lucy. Nothing would be more disastrous than actually liking her too.

Watching these two characters start to fall for one another was a real treat. Both struggled with their feelings. Lucy feels like she is being disloyal to her brother by liking Sean. Sean doesn’t feel he deserves Lucy at all. My favorite thing about this book is watching the growth Sean has. One of the best parts about this story is that Sean is terrible in bed. We read so many books with these rock star men that are amazing in the sack, but that’s not always reality. I loved his willingness to learn and Lucy’s willingness to teach him. I also loved the way he saw her- as the perfect woman she was.

He looked at me like I was the center of something important. Like I was important to him.

The Player and the Pixie is a book that had it all. It was funny, entertaining, emotional, sexy and had an amazingly imperfect (yet perfect for each other) couple. I can’t sing my praises enough for this story. No one is more shocked than me that I loved Sean Cassidy as much as I did, but I DID! I loved him! He and Lucy together made my heart so happy. Reid and Cosway did an amazing job with this book and I will read anything they co-write in the future…. and after reading the sneak peek to the next book in this series? OMG I cannot wait!

If you’re looking for a read with a spunky heroine, a redeemable hero, a book with lots of laughs, steam, and most importantly- heart, this is one I highly recommend! Going on my favorites list as a 5+ star read!

“I don’t want anyone but you.”

Penny Reid

SEX! It all started with sex, between my parents. Personally I don’t like thinking about it, but whatever works for you is a-ok with me. No judgment. The sex happened in California and much of my life also occurred in that state until I moved from the land of nuts (almonds), wine, silicon… boobs, and heavy traffic to the southeast US. Like most writers I like to write, but let’s get back to sex. Eventually I married and gave birth to 2 small people-children (boy-6, girl-4 as of this writing).

By day I’m a biomedical researcher with focus on rare diseases. By night I’m a knitter, sewer, lino block carver, fabric printer, soap maker, and general crafter. By the wee hours of the morning or when I’m intoxicated I love to listen to the voices in my head and let them tell me stories. I hope you enjoy their stories.
