Hard Fall by Sara Ney is LIVE!

Release Date: August 18

"Hard Fall"
That's what my mom is always saying: "The bigger you are, the harder you fall." She's talking about love—I've never been in it myself, but that doesn't stop me from secretly matchmaking for my friends. Who would suspect me, a world class athlete, of meddling in other people's love lives? I love Love, especially when it’s not me who’s doing the falling…

"No Thanks."

That's what Hollis Westbrooke said when I asked her on a date. Well, propositioned her, actually—but it was all a big joke; one she doesn't think is funny. My stomach is in knots since I might actually like this girl so the joke is on me. Hollis’s father is my boss—and she doesn't date players.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall—especially when biggest player is me.

I need a girl I can bring home to my mother, and Hollis Westbrooke is perfect in every way. Other than the fact that she hates me…

Reading Hard Fall was such a blast. Seriously, this one was so much fun to read. I enjoyed the first book in this series a lot, but I think I liked this one even more. Buzz was such a hilarious hero and I loved getting his perspective.

Trace ‘Buzz’ Wallace meets Hollis Westbrooke at the stadium he plays ball and naturally, he hits on her. He has no idea she’s his team managers daughter but once he finds out it doesn’t stop him. She needs to get her ex off her back and he needs to bring a girl home to make his mom happy. They are exactly what each other needs.

Oh my goodness Buzz Wallace might be the funniest and sweetest hero I’ve read about. He’s such an oddball but I loved him so much. Hollis couldn’t resist his crazy charm as much as she tried. My favorite parts of this book were when they were around Buzz’s family and when Hollis started to see him for the kind of man he really is, not the guy he appears to be at first.

Honestly, the only thing I would change about this book would be to make it longer. I wanted more from Buzz and Hollis, especially once they got together. This was an odd combo of slow burn/friends to lovers and a bit of insta love once they realized their feelings but it really worked for me.

The first two books of this series have been wins for me and I’m looking forward to seeing where Sara Ney goes with the next. I kind of hope it’s about Buzz’s brother, even though he’s not a baseball player (he plays football) because I want more of the Wallace family. If you’re looking for a sports romance that will make you laugh out loud and that’s sweet and steamy, pick up Hard Fall.

“Maybe it’s time to give the nice guy a shot”

If you’re a fan of Sara Ney’s ‘How to Date a Douchebag’ series, you know and love Rex Gunderson. Rex is hilarious and sweet but has never been considered dating material. He’s back to help with the team after he’s graduated and he’s a changed man.

Hannah is Skylar’s roommate (from The Lying Hours) and needs a little help on the dating scene. She’s blunt, sarcastic, and comes across standoffish to her dates. She and Rex match on a dating app and he decides to help her be more approachable and learn to talk to guys.

I loved this couples banter and back and forth texting. I loved it even more when they met/dated in person. They made the sweetest couple. I could tell even in such a short book that Rex had changed for the better and I was happy he found the girl for him. I only wish this was a little longer and we got more of Rex and Hannah’s story!

Now Live: Bastard Bachelor Society by Sara Ney

What is the Bastard Bachelor Society?

It’s a gentleman’s club—like the dignified men of the past used to have.

Except, we’re not gentleman, and we’re not dignified.

We’re ineligible bachelors; bored, jaded and not looking for relationships. Quite the opposite actually

We’re so committed to being single, we’ve created a high stakes bet to see who can remain single the longest. Rules are involved. Prizes.

Laugh it up, but I’m no loser.

Enemy number one to my single status? My irresistible neighbor, Abbott Margolis. She with her evil cat Desdemona, and Sexy AF pencil skirts. She’s kind and beautiful and hilarious. We can’t get involved, no matter how much her meddling grandmother pushes us together. But if I was going to lose this bet for anyone? It would for Abbott.

Let’s face facts: I’m a bastard, unwilling to settle down.

Especially when there’s a bet to win.

Bastard Bachelor Society is the start of Sara Ney’s fun new series. This one gave me a lot of laughs, and though it wasn’t my favorite Ney book (I completely adore her NA/sports romances) I still found it to be an enjoyable read.

Brooks Bennett created the Bastard Bachelor Society with his friends. The number one rule… stay single. That is no problem for Brooks. He’s not interested in a relationship. They have a friendly wager going on about this bet of staying single and Brooks is sure he’s got it in the bag… until meets Abbot.

Abbot and Brooks are neighbors and have the best meet-cute. They have a breakfast together at Abbot’s apartment randomly and become fast friends. Friends that think about each other constantly and spend all their free time together, but just friends…

I already decided to friend-zone her—where does she get the audacity to friend-zone me? Doesn’t she realize the pecking order here? It starts with me. Me, at the top, hen-pecking away and deciding who gets what. I do the zoning in my relationships. Me. Not her.

My favorite part of this book was the banter of this couple. It was so flirty, fun, and they had such a spark. Even though they were ‘just friends’ it was obvious for quite a while they were more. I also really loved Abbot’s Nan. She was hilarious and I loved the relationship Brooks developed with her.

Oh Brooks… it took him way too long to see what was right in front of his face, but when he did, he was all in. There were parts through the middle he frustrated me, but by the end, I loved him. I loved Abbot’s character through the entirety of the book. And as I mentioned before, I especially loved her Nan.

I truly think Sara Ney is one of the funniest authors out there. She does rom-coms so well. This one had me laughing out loud more than once. If you’re looking for a hilarious friends to lovers romance I would recommend this one. I’m excited to see where this series goes. Brooks friends seem… interesting LOL!
