Thea Landry has always known her place in modern-day society. It’s somewhere just above the trash can her mother dumped her in as a newborn but below the class where much comes easy. With her tattered shoes and bargain-bin clothes, her life has never been full of glamour.
So when a rich and charismatic man takes interest, she doesn’t fool herself into thinking their encounter is anything more than a one-night stand. Months later, she’s kicking herself for not getting his phone number. Or his last name. She’s given up hope of seeing him ever again.
Until one day, years later, Logan Kendrick waltzes into her life once more and turns everything she’s built upside down. This time around, she won’t make the same mistake. She’s going to fight to keep him in her life—not for herself.
But for their daughter.

CHRISTY'S REVIEW:
Tattered by Devney Perry is an adorably sweet, swoony romance with just a touch of suspense.
When Thea and Logan meet one night in a bar in NYC, it's a one night thing. The attraction is instant and they know what they want out of that one night. What they don't expect is a child to come from that one night. When Thea finds herself pregnant by Logan- no last name- she has no way of finding him. Eventually she moves to Montana to be with the only people she calls family. Years later, her daughter Charlie is 5, and Logan is the last person she ever expects to see again.
Once again, Logan walks into Thea's bar, but this time it's in Montana. And he finds out he is the father to a daughter he's never known about. A good chunk of the book is Logan navigating parenthood. My favorite parts of the book were seeing Logan and Charlie together. It was so freaking sweet. I also loved watching that spark between Logan and Thea reignite. You could just see that they were meant to be, even though their circumstance weren't ideal, as they lived in different states.
So why not a 5- honestly, I didn't love the bit of suspense thrown in there. The story as beautiful and emotional, and great the way it was, I didn't feel like it was necessary to have that put in. Overall, I very much enjoyed this book. Charlie was the cutest, Logan was amazing, and Thea was strong and brave. It was a great read and I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.
