He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them —or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on—especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense.
When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?

Review:

5++ Nash is MINE stars :)

Yay! I am ready for some more Marked Men! Jay Crownover has a huge fan of her Marked Men series, I can't get enough! Her writing is brilliant, the characters are AMAZING, I seriously want to crawl inside the book and become a part of their world. I figured that Rome would be my favorite...but nope. Nash has stolen my heart!! His story is breath-taking and beautiful.

Each story Jay's writing becomes better and better. She reaches out of that book and grabs your heart for these characters. You can't help but fall in love with each and every one. As soon as I finished I wanted to go right back to the beginning and start all over again. Sometimes being able to read a book early is a blessing and then times like these you wish you would have waited. I NEED MORE MARKED MEN NOW!! <------seriously an="" i="" intervention="" lol="" nbsp="" need="" span="">

So I'll be (im)patiently waiting for the next book in the series. And just like before, fall in love all over again. Jay Crownover is an automatic buy for me, she never disappoints with her work.

About the Author

I'm supposed to share interesting details about myself so that my readers get to know me so here we go in no particular order: I'm an natural redhead even though I haven't seen my real hair color in years, I'm a big fan of tattoos and have a half sleeve on either arm and various other pieces all over the place, I've been in the bar industry since I was in college and it has always offered interesting insight into how men and women interact with each other, I have 3 dogs that are all crazy, I live in Colorado and love the snow, I love music and in all reality wish I could be a rock star not a writer or a bartender but I have zero talent so there is that. I love to write, love to read and all I'm interested in is a good story with interesting characters that make the reader feel something. Thanks for taking the time to check my stuff out...

Fade In by M. Mabie

Synopsis:

Tatum Elliot is a successful writer on a hit television show, lives in an Upper East Side apartment and loves her life. She wouldn’t change a thing. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a choice. She's losing her sight. Tripping over her tongue and her heels, Tatum all too quickly realizes that the things which appeared so important before are slowly slipping away leaving room for what really matters. With the support of her best friends, family and colleagues, she begins to see that there’s much more to life… and herself. When Ben Harris enters her life as her new personal assistant, she can’t tell if it’s his good looks and charm that are working on her libido, or his kind and helpful nature working on her heart? Whatever it is, neither one of them can resist it. As her vision fades out, a world of love and happiness just might…Fade In. Fade In is a contemporary-romance novel about laughing through your tears and telling life to, quite frankly, “Suck it.” This novel contains sexual situations that the author may or may not have tried at home… for your safety, of course. Research is research.

Author Bio:

M. Mabie lives in Illinois, NOT Chicago, with her rock-star husband. (True story.) She loves writing for Fifty5Cents Book Blog, which she owns and operates- at the moment quite poorly. She's a proud member of the Indie Author Romance Author Chicks writing group where she maintains a high standard of professionalism and lady-like maturity- or not. She cares about politics, but won’t discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne’s World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. M. Mabie has never been accused of being tight lipped or shy. She’s THAT girl. (She doesn't usually speak in third-person, but surprisingly does when weirded-out about writing her bio.)

Review:

4.5 stars!

I didn't know what to expect when I first started reading Fade In. At about 8% in the greatest thing happened. I read a scene that had me laughing my ass off and is probably a scene that will stay with me forever. I can't tell you what that scene is because let's be honest, who likes spoilers, right? Just know that it's the BEST BREAK-UP SCENE EVER! Hmmmm...maybe M. Mabie did that to some poor guy?!

This book was just amazing. Tatum is a character you find yourself rooting for from page one. She has a disease and is losing her sight. But yet she refuses to take that sitting down. Her Dr. tries to get her to see a therapist but she refuses, afraid of what that would mean for her.

Now, let's talk about Ben Harris for a minute. That man is absolute perfection. From the first time he is introduced, I just knew that I would love his character.

"Fucking is child's play compared to what I'm going to do your body with mine. You deserve better than that."

SWOON!

if your looking for a fun, panty melting book, this is the one for you, ladies! And then when you reach 8% you can come find me and tell me that shit wasn't fucking perfect!!

Excerpt:

"I hope you saved the receipt for the breakfast and all that stuff yesterday, too. You don't need to be buying my meals," I say with a mouth that's half full.
He quickly pulls the Jeep into a parking lot and smoothly parks in an available space. He turns the engine off and turns to face me.
"Okay. We need to get a few things straight for today, Tatum." Emerald eyes look at me with utmost determination. "Today, I'm not working. Neither are you. Today we are Ben and Tatum, out and about, having a good time. Think of it like a date."
"A date?" Is this a date? Hold up. When did I agree to a date? Then again, what could it hurt? It's one day-date.
"A date. I'm paying. I'm driving. I'm in control. Do you agree or disagree to this arrangement?"
"No one has ever asked me to go on a date while I'm already on the date." I can't help but smile and be a little excited that he wants to be on a date with me—and he didn't mind telling me so either.
"Will this date interfere with our working relationship?" That's the responsible question I needed to ask.
He shakes his head no.
"Is this like a friends-buddies kind of date?" My eyebrows rise and I lean forward, trying to gauge where he's at in this whole thing.
"Not for me, but I can't answer that for you. You don't even have to think about that right now. Just relax and let me show you a good time. Deal?"  He says this with such confidence that I'm speechless.

Monster in His Eyes by J.M. Darhower

BLURB

Ignazio Vitale is not a good man.

I suspect it, the first time I see him, sense the air of danger that surrounds the man. He has a way of commanding attention, of taking control, of knowing what I'm thinking before I even do.

It's alarming and alluring. It's dark and deadly. It's everything I've ever wanted but the last thing I truly need. Obsession.

It doesn't take him long to draw me into his web, charming me into his bed and trapping me in his life, a life I know nothing about until it's too late. He has secrets, secrets I can't fathom, secrets that make it so I can't walk away, no matter how much I beg him to let me go. I see it sometimes in his eyes, a darkness that's both terrifying and thrilling. He's a monster, wrapped up in a pretty package, and what I find when I unmask him changes everything.

I want to hate him.

Sometimes, I do.

But it doesn't stop me from loving him, too.

Christy's Review: 5 STARS

When you start a new book but your mind is still on the story and the characters of your previous book, you know you are suffering from a book hangover. That is exactly what JM Darhower has done to me. Monster in His Eyes is a fast paced and hella hot read with some mystery and suspense. Once I started reading, I was a goner. Could not put that book down. The hero is not your typical good guy. In fact, he’s not much of a good guy at all- and I can’t tell you how much I LOVE that!

Karissa is an eighteen year old college student. She’s always worked hard for the things she has. She makes sure she keeps a 3.5 gpa so she can retain her scholarship for NYU, she doesn't have the designer clothing her roommate does and she doesn’t mind. She just wants to get through school, get settled in one place. After moving place to place with her mother throughout her child hood, she just wants to be settled. Karissa see’s Mr. tall, dark and deliciously dangerous when she’s going back to Philosophy. She never imagined someone like Ignazio Vitale would be interested in her, but she was so so wrong.

   photo bf3e5ab5-be50-4d37-9134-3cdb86b2fa18_zpsc67c6826.jpg

Naz is older than Karissa. In fact, he’s double her age, around 36. He’s successful, sexy, and powerful. A man who knows who he is and what he wants. And he wants Karissa. Naz is a man who is used to getting exactly what he wants when he wants it. Karissa is attracted to him, and it’s obvious she wants him too.

He’s a drug, an addictive one, and I’m not sure it’s a habit I can kick. All it took was one hit. One strong, euphoric hit and I was hooked.

Naz and Karissa start seeing one another regularly. It becomes clear to Karissa she doesn’t really know much about Naz. What he does for a living, how he has so much money. She doesn’t ask many questions, but she knows he’s a powerful man. He makes that very clear.

   photo 02a04cde-9b72-4774-9fb3-6862cfc7effe_zps96a3e899.jpg

Karissa and Naz get serious fairly quickly. Karissa can’t get enough of Naz. She realizes early on he may not be a ‘good guy’, but he is still the guy for her.

Naz is the very best part of this book. He was such an interesting and complex character. It was hard to determine who he really was. He has a lot of different sides, but I liked them all. Naz knows he’s not good, he’s a monster. Karissa knows it to. But she’s in too deep. She couldn’t get out, even if she wanted to.

“I thought I could play with you a bit, and let you go, but once I had you, Karissa, I had to keep you. I couldn’t walk away.”

Passion and desire. Love and lust. Pleasure and pain. Want. Need. Utterly CONSUMED.

The sexy scenes in this book were well written and off the charts hot.

   photo 4427f358-4baa-4bbc-ab49-b9fc4df850d7_zps95438bed.jpg

As the story started to come together towards the end, there were many moments I was like ‘What?!’. I loved that I couldn’t predict every little things that was happening. The ending wasn’t something I would classify as a cliffhanger, more like what direction will she take with the conclusion of Naz and Karissa’s story. I for one can’t wait to find out!

Romantic suspense isn’t always my favorite genre, but with the way JM Darhower writes, and the passion and darkness of the story, this book quickly made its way on my favorites list. It was fast paced and there was never a dull moment. I love when books captivates me and leave me wanting more. That is exactly what this did. I was engrossed from start to finish. And another plus- I have found a new book boyfriend (with issues- my favorite kind) in Naz. I can’t wait for you all to read this one!

He set out to destroy me, but he fell in love with me instead.
I fell in love with him, and that’s what destroyed me in the end.
He says he would never hurt me, but he doesn’t realize he already has.
He hurt me by loving me.
By being who he is.
Because I am who I am.

Kara's Review: 5 Stars

description

Several hours after finishing this book -
I still can not stop thinking about NAZ. LOVE HIM.
"I love you, too. Promise me you'll remember that."
"I promise."
"Good," he says. "Because I'm about to fuck you like I don't."

My voice is a little more than a shaky breath.
"Okay."

This book was way awesome. I loved every moment of it.
I found it intriguing, sexy, funny, nail biting all in one book. I highlighted so many parts on my kindle! I can't wait for you all to read this so you can tell me you highlighted parts too!!! EEEK. I am waiting.

Bella's Review: 5 Stars!!

This book was amazing.

JM Darhower totally sucked me in with Naz. He is what made this book for me. He is an unapologetic bad boy. He doesn't pretend to be good. He warns Karissa from the start that he is not good.

She wants him anyways.

Hell, I do too!!

My favorite quote:
"I love you, too. Promise me you'll remember that."
"I promise."
"Good," he says. "Because I'm about to fuck you like I don't."

So hot!!!

Naz is dark and mysterious but it's no mystery that he's dangerous.

Karissa is at times immature, but she is only 18 after all.

I couldn't stop reading. This book was totally unpredictable - I LOVE THAT!!!

I can't wait for the next one!

You have to read this book - highly recommend!!!
