Review: Stay by Sarina Bowen

Can you fall in love with someone you've never even met?

Hailey Taylor Emery has a hunch that her favorite client at Fetch—an anonymous virtual assistant service—is actually hockey star Matt Eriksson.

Although it's against the rules for her to check his file, she's 95% sure she spends at least part of each day texting with her lifelong crush and catering to his every need. Still nursing a wounded heart thanks to her recent breakup, Hailey is perfectly content with some harmless online flirting... until she has to meet her client. Face to face. Cue: utter panic.

Matt Eriksson is no stranger to heartbreak. He's still not over the destruction of his marriage, and it sucks to be the only guy on the team who knows the truth—that hockey and long-term relationships are a toxic mix. He barely sees his kids, and dealing with his ex makes him feel insane. The only person in his life who seems to understand is someone who won't show her pretty face.

But it's nothing that a pair of fourth row hockey seats can't fix. Hailey can't resist the offer. Matt can't resist Hailey. Good thing he doesn't have to. Fire up the kiss cam!

Warning: Contains rabid hockey fans, misunderstood dick pics, hockey players at the opera and exploding ovaries.

When Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy write together, some kind of magic occurs. I've read several books by this duo and each one is fantastic in its own right. Stay is the second book in their WAG's series. I loved the first book and was excited to get more of this team. This book did not disappoint. I adored Matt and Hailey. This book was so much fun. It was sweet, sexy, and exactly what I was looking for. I read it in one day, and not because I had a lot of reading time. I finished it so quickly because I did not want to put it down!

Hailey and Matt have two major things in common. 1- Both of them love hockey and 2- Both of of them are recent divorcees. Matt and Hailey 'meet' long before they ever really meet. Hailey co-owns a company called 'Fetch'. It's brilliant really, any time you need a service or item, contact Fetch and they'll, well, fetch it for you. With Matt having two daughters, a dog, and being on the road for hockey, he uses their services rather frequently.

I loved how Matt and Haliey met. It was unusual in the best way. Their relationship was a bit of a slow burn. Neither one ready to take that big step and move forward right away, but it was completely believable and real. I love a good slow burn romance. I loved the kids, the dog, really I loved most everything about this book. It was great to get to catch up with Blake and Jess, and of course my favorite hockey couple- Wes and Jamie!

Hockey romances are my favorite kind of sports romance, and Elle and Sarina are quickly becoming two of my favorite authors. With each book they write, I love them even more. If you're looking for a book that will make you laugh, has just the right amount of feels, and is low drama, pick this one up! It's uber sweet, steamy, and lots of fun!
