Kendall Ryan's The Gentleman Mentor is LIVE!

He calls himself the Gentleman Mentor.
Just reading his ad
makes me feel more alive than I have in years.
He promises to teach
me the art of seduction … and show me the most sinfully erotic pleasures. He’s
going to help me become the kind of confident, sexy woman men can’t ignore.
Six lessons … with the
most gorgeous man … who happens to be a Dom.
The only problem … now
that I’ve experienced his brand of delectable domination will anyone else ever
compare?

She’s a client. That’s all.
Or it should be.
But with every lesson,
she’s becoming more.
The secrets I’m hiding
behind the image of the Gentleman Mentor make telling her the truth—and having
anything real—impossible.
I’m training her for
another man, and that fact guts me every time I think of it.
I know she’s not mine
… but part of me won’t accept that.
Am I willing to risk
it all to keep her?

THE GENTLEMAN MENTOR is a full-length standalone novel.

Once I’m completely nude, I kneel in the center of the room with my gaze trained on the floor and wait. My heartbeat is crashing against my ribs, and I’m filled with a strange sense of longing and anticipation. Sex is never like this. It’s always been in a bed, under the covers, without any dirty talk or forceful commands. Simple and straightforward. I know sex with my Dom is going to be anything but ordinary. And that’s way more exciting than it should be.
As I kneel in my darkened bedroom, naked and wet between my legs, the noise in my brain begins to quiet. I’m singularly focused on him. My gaze never strays from its focus on the floor near the door, on the swath of light that comes from the hall. My heartbeat grows heavy with anticipation.
I continue waiting in my spot and several minutes later, I hear him. Footsteps coming closer.
When he enters the room, he’s carrying some type of small black leather bag. My heart riots in my chest.
He calmly crosses the room, all but ignoring me, and sets the bag on my bed. I don’t know if I should watch, but I can’t help my eyes from following him. He removes his suit jacket and neatly folds it, placing it on the table beside my bed. He unzips the bag and removes a black strip of fabric, and then turns to face me.
“Those greedy little eyes want to see everything, to form an opinion on it all, yes?”
I don’t answer. My breathing grows shallow as I continue watching him.
“The only thing I want you focused on is sensation, feeling. Do you understand?”
“Yes.”
“I want to show you what you’re capable of. Do you trust me?”
“Yes,” I say again. I’m not sure why, but I do. And trust me, I’m aware it’s absolutely insane.
He stands behind me and fastens the silk fabric over my eyes, tying it behind my head. It blocks my vision entirely. My heart rate increases as the realization that I’m in total darkness sinks in.
I listen closely and hear him walk toward the bed. Then I hear a match spark to life, and my entire body stiffens. His footsteps cross the room, and I’m about to ask what’s going on when the faint scent of sandalwood and black currant greets me. He’s lit a candle, I’m pretty sure. Maybe this is all part of a ritual for him. Nothing is rushed, everything is calculated and planned out, and I like that he’s taken so much time and care into planning my lessons.

photo a19013f6-c582-4984-841f-a8684a104da6_zpsuhxv8enz.jpgI am a big fan of Kendall Ryan’s work. I love how her stories are so sexy and steamy with just the right amount of angst and emotion. After reading most all of her books, I think The Gentleman Mentor is my favorite of hers. I loved both the main characters, the story itself was hella entertaining and it was definitely her steamiest work yet.

Brie is an attractive, normal girl in her mid twenties. She has terrible luck when it comes to men. After having a long time crush on one of her best friends, she decides she needs some help. Help to come out of her shell and learn things that might draw him in. When she sees this add, she can’t help but be curious about this gentleman mentor and what he can do for her.

photo 6063b9b1-b9a6-4db3-8496-7eff6b56f6f8_zpscceabcvg.jpgHale, or “Dom” as he is known by his clients is taken aback by Brie when he meets her. She is not his average client. This girl is gorgeous, she’s sweet and doesn’t seem like the type of woman who would need help getting a man. Their attraction is palpable and sparks are flying between them, even at their first meeting, but Dom is determined not to let that get in the way of his ‘lessons’. He wants to help Brie break out of her shell and raise her self confidence sexually and otherwise.

The anticipation before Brie and Dom were together for the first time, then the actual sex in the book... For real. This was insanely hot. There is some light BDSM in this story, but it’s more or less just the dominance. Dom likes to be in control.

Brie is stepping so far out of her comfort zone with this man, that for the first time in her life, she feels like she’s actually living. She’s being herself, being free sexually. And the more time she’s spending with Hale, the less she is thinking about her crush. There is something about this man that entices her. She knows she only has six weeks with him, but she can’t imagine their time together ending.

The Gentleman Mentor is the perfect combination of romance, emotion and steam. It’s different from most of Kendall’s other books, but in the best way possible. It was an easy read, once I started it I didn’t want to put it down. I loved the intense chemistry between the main characters and the growth they both showed.

This is a stand alone novel, but one of the secondary characters that I adored (Reece) will be getting his own story. Hopefully soon, I can’t wait to read it!

EXCERPT:
I take a minute to survey her. She’s petite, just like I imagined her. Brunette. Big blue eyes whose gaze drifts between mine and the floor as if she doesn’t know where to look. There must be some goddamn mistake, because there’s no way she’d need any help attracting a man. But if it’s my help she wants, I won’t refuse her.
“May I?” I ask, pulling out the seat next to her and moving toward it. She’s timid, and I need to remember my manners.
“Please,” she says. “I’m Brielle.”
“No names.”
“Everyone calls me Brie, though.” She twists her hands in her lap.
“Sweetheart?” I say, and her gaze darts up to mine. “I said no names.”
“Oh. I’m sorry.” She swallows down her nerves. “But what should I call you?”
“You may call me Dom.”
Our gazes connect, and a flash of desire pools low in my spine. Fucking hell. This should be interesting.
