Lauren Stewart has a knack for writing about two people who aren’t in a place in their life to be in a relationship, and bringing them together in a fantastic way. Virtually Impossible is the second book in her Once and Forever series. When I read Darker Water, not only was I blown away, but I was dying for a Hayden Bennett (Carson’s older brother) book. Well, my wish was granted. I got my Hayden book and it was just as good as I’d hoped.

Andi Clark is a girl with a past she can’t escape. She is a good person who has made some really bad judgment calls in her past, and she’s paying for them now. She works under the name Sara for reasons that have to do with her past and is a virtual assistant. She ends up taking a job working for Hayden Bennett.

Hayden Bennett is a truly amazing man. His heart is huge and pure. He’s sweet, kind, forgiving, and near perfect. I was expecting him to be a brooding, serious hero, but he was so much different, so much more than I expected him to be. Hayden is married. Yes, you read that right. He’s married. I was so freaking skeptical when I read that. But things aren’t always as they seem. As I said before, Hayden is truly wonderful and near perfect.

The build up between Andi and Hayden was fantastic. I loved the waiting and hoping. I loved the connection they shared when they hadn’t even laid eyes on one another.

I was incredibly attracted to someone I’d never laid eyes on. All I knew about her was that she had an amazing sense of humor, was smart and hard-working. She was so full of life and, somehow, she’d woken me up, made me laugh, and I wanted more. She made me want more- of life and of her.

When they were finally together, it was beautiful and truly explosive. They had great banter and so much chemistry.

What I loved best about Virtually Impossible is how connected I felt to both of the characters. I adored them both equally and wanted them together and happy something fierce. It wasn’t an easy road for either of them to get to the place they needed to be, but they figured it out. They made it work. I love when couples really fight for it, and these two did.

This book had all the elements of a romance I love. It started out as a slow burn, then turned into a passion filled inferno. It’s a smart, sweet, sexy and fun story that has some angst, but not enough to get me all worked up. I love Stewart’s writing and her stories are always unique, this is no exception. I enjoyed Virtually Impossible very much and give it 4.5 stars!
