Blurb
The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her.

Lydia Green doesn't know whether to burn down the church or sit and
cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.

Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she'd marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong-maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.

After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?
~BOOK BABES REVIEW DIRTY~

Reanell's Review:
5 Crazy at First Sight stars!
Kylie never disappoints in writing fantastic stories. I was hooked from page 1 and didn't stop until I was finished. Kylie knows how to write characters that have the perfect mix of heart and a great sense of humor. And Dirty was no different.
Lydia had the unspeakable happen to her on her wedding day. She escapes the wedding disaster by breaking into a cottage begin the house she was getting married in. And I just so happened to belong to Vaughn, a rockstar! And he found her after he was about to get in the bathtub she was sitting in.
Lydia and Vaughn hit it off, he especially liked her rack. LOL. And cue all kinds of drama between Vaughns sister and friends. And it was very entertaining!! So many characters that have me interested in their story. Kylie could go on forever with the amount of people we meet in Dirty. And I want her too!!
My absolute favorite part of the book? It's a very lovable character from the Stage Dive series. He gives some very good advice.
"Trust me, never mock a romance book. You have no idea the amount of good they can do for you between the sheets and on the streets. If you love your girl? Buy her books." See?!?! Pure brilliance!
Another favorite quote is from Vaughn.
"No straight guy could stay away from that rack," he said quietly.!"Just saying." "Not everyone's a tit man." "Well they should be," he scoffed. "Breast is best."
I was laughing like crazy over that line.
Dirty was a fantastic start to a new series and I can't wait to read more about the rest of the crew! If you read Kylie's  Stage Dive series, you will not want to miss this one!

Bella's Review:
4.5 Stars
I'm a HUGE fan of the Stage Dive series, so when I heard that Kylie Scott was coming out with a new series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

Dirty is the first book of the Dive Bar Series, starring Lydia and Vaughan. I LOVED their story!! Dirty was the best combination of funny, sexy, light and addictive.

Lydia learns, on her wedding day, that her fiance is gay and sleeping with his best man. This leads her to flee the scene, quite literally, right into Vaughan's bathtub. From there, these to have a connection. A CRAZY connection.

What I loved about this book:
~The writing. Kylie Scott is so easy for me to read. I quickly get sucked in and can't stop turning the pages.
~Lydia. Dirty is told 100% from Lydia's POV and she is HILARIOUS. She has been jilted, but she does a good job of picking up the pieces of her life. She is not perfect, she is not stick thin either, and I LOVED that about her.
~ Vaughan. A musician that didn't get quite the break he was looking for in the music world. He is back in his home town to sell his childhood home and look for his next move to follow his dream. He did not plan on meeting a woman and falling in love. He planned on selling the house, then traveling back to the west coast. But dreams change. I love how in tune he is with Lydia. I love how he makes her feel safe. He makes her feel desired. He makes her feel less self conscious of her body. He makes her feel wanted. Aaaaand he has tattoos. Vaughan is so appealing.
~ The chemistry. The love how neither Vaughan or Lydia wanted a relationship, but they couldn't stop the pull.
~ Side characters. I LOVE the group of people introduced in this story. I want to jump into the book and become friends with everyone. I can't wait to read the next story!!!
~ Narration. If you get the chance, listen to this one on audio. Andi Arndt is an AMAZING narrator. I love how she brings the characters to life.

What I didn't like:
~ A bit predictable. I totally knew these two would fall for each other. I loved reading about how they got to their HEA. No huge twists or turns in the plot.
~ So fast. The entire story takes place over 1-2 weeks. Ummmm. That's kinda fast. I would have loved to see this story cover more ground.

This was an awesome read and I can't wait to read more by this author.

Bottom line: READ IT!!!!

Christy's Review:

4-4.5 stars!!!

One thing I know to be true when I’m starting a Kylie Scott book is it’s going to be a good time. Her books are always fun and hella entertaining. Dirty made me smile and laugh from the start, but also had a perfect amount of sexy and sweet to go with it!

Lydia’s story starts on her wedding day. She’s looking perfect in her gown and makeup when she gets an incoming text that will rock her world. After seeing what she sees, Lydia knows she cannot marry her fiancé so she makes a run for it and runs straight into Vaughan’s place. It was the best decision she ever made. The way these two met seriously made me laugh out loud. I loved that scene! And I loved how Vaughan reacted!

Vaughan is home for a short while after being on the road with his band. The first thing he sees when he gets to his place is a crying woman in a wedding dress lying in his bathtub. He’s attracted to her, but he knows he isn’t staying for good. Heck, she isn’t sure if she’s staying in town after this either. They hit it off and become friends. Vaughan is fine with Lydia staying with him for a while until she can find her way.

Vaughan’s sister owns a dive bar where they both help out at for a bit. We meet some great characters here and I’m so excited some of them will be getting their own books! Back to Lydia and Vaughan though- you really can feel the heat and connection between them. There is so much more than friendship there, whether they admit it to each other or not.

‘I’d broken into his house, but he’d somehow broken into me, cracked me wide open, exposing me to so much more of life than what had existed before.’

I adored Lydia and Vaughan both. There was nothing I didn’t like about either one of them. Both were great characters. Vaughan’s obsession with her chest always made me laugh. Another highlight- one of my favorite characters from Kylie’s Stage Dive series showed up and gave some profound advice….
“If you love your girl? Buy her books.”

If you’re looking for a book more on the light side that’s steamy, fun and will leave you with the biggest smile on your face, pick up Dirty! I loved it and I can’t wait to continue on with this series with Joe’s book- Twist.
